Ty brings 13 years of instructing, including over 160 schools and 300 private lessons, to the Typhoon Roadracing Academy.

Also joining TRA is Derek Wagnon and Garet Tomlinson. Derek is a former multi-time AMA Sports National Champion and winner of the 2010 CMRA Endurance Overall Championship riding for Moto Ace. Garet rode the AMA Red Bull Rookie's Cup during the 2009 season spending the season riding under the watchful eye of former 500 GP champion Kevin Schwantz. All 3 instructors currently race with the CMRA and selected AMA Nationals.

At TRA we are very passionate about teaching a successful lesson plan while at the same time keeping sight of the reason most people ride motorcycles. It's a very enjoyable way to spend your time. The #1 focus at TRA is to teach the students the skills that will keep them off the ground. Crashing is not fun and without the proper riding techniques it's very likely to happen.
